As many new houses seem to be these last few years.
They should have put adequate sufficient drainage in to begin with. Without being asked to.

Deeper guttering not available?
Checkpoint Charlie!!.

The old bamboo. Now staying upright, or no longer there...
Usually as much as they feel they can get away with, which is often too much.

A bit later than the rain that fell here then.

I ,as I have mentioned before, took the bloke in charge and showed him where to put a main groundwater drain in....
He actually listened..(let's say I've a history of drainaging(is this a word?)
and got our back dug up and a couple of pipes laid, clearing the water problems after heavy rain,
It wasn't as bad a some of the stories we have heard since of soggy back gardens.
I got a call from their office walllah, telling me the good news about the new pipe going in..
Ask yer man who pointed where to lay it etc..
sudden change of conversation saying the other snagging you requested will be starting the next day LOL
It wasn't that bad (so far)

Jan , we had moved in..
IMG_0677.jpg

Work being done once ground had dried some, the main pipe runs behind the wooden fence at back
IMG_1126.jpg

Now have a fence separating us and next door, double slatted ended up Mrs M and I did the deed(double slatting)..(fence was the pros although I could have done it, price of wood and labour wasn't much more than I (and next door) would have to pay just for the wood etc.
Mrs M keep changing her mind, wanting it stoned since after they fixed it but decided this year we need a bit for the kids to run about it so next job is to stone youngest's back garden.

Bloke in charge were probably glad someone living there pointed it out to him. They don't get much freedom to think on their own these days.
You charged, and got yer consultancy fee for offering yer advice and drainage expertise, when the office phoned?
Sight difference in the appearance of yer back garden in those two pictures.

Take it the fence you put in is a bit higher than the one in the picture.
Bet you were glad you didn't stone it all then have to re-turf it.
At least one cuppa every two hours yer there.

Dividing fence is the same as the standard one they put up,
it would have been an extra, blokes who did it for a third of the builders price did the builder work if you get my drift.
I'm going to some sculptures tomorrow.....
Time for a cool liquid refreshing glass (maybe two?)
Been a long day, been up for 17 hours now.....Yawn...

Same height on all three sides?
That sorta building job...
Any idea what they'll be/what you want yet. Or do not get a say in your choice.
Only the two.
You were up early I noticed. Making the most of the summer sun.

Yep..
plus I double slatted two and a half sides...

I moved a tree this morning (containerised)..
now plum in middle of garden.
had to take out some earthy compost stuff to get it moved by sack barrow (which strained at weight),
still one to see where her who must be obeyed wants it.
I did a temporary 'level' until the stones go down (when? who knows).

I'm off out this afternoon....
and the dib dib joint this evening..

Life is but a jolly social whirl

Whatabout the 1/2 you didn't do?

"Just move that from there to there" always sounds easy when said.
Sack cart okay!
Next earthquake bear you will do that, save you the trouble.
Rest, and shout for coffee to be brought out to yer.

Enjoy the afternoon off, but be back in time for the scout hut.

How'd you manage when you were working....

Toodles might have been a different kettle o'fish though.
Aside from bumping the scout hut(Doesn't sound right that.), everything else okay.

And there's no regressing or parts replacement for yerssen. Can't use a hammer or duct tape either.
Or could you?
Serious stuff, you drink funny stuff!!
You'll enjoy yerssen once yer out in that boat. A life on the waves, with the wind from every direction.
Maybe, but how'd you fit what yer doing now in when you were?
A week to go.
