I don't have an inkling what they were thinkling but they probably hoped for it to dry out sooner than it has done.

I think the Aussies would of batted - I heard Stewart describe the pitches at Cardiff as suitable for ten day matches - Aussies are bowling quite well in patches and Clarke is ringing the changes well
