There was pie in Paris, on the Sunday. Googling had led me to this cafe in the Marais, La Loir dans la Théirè (Dormouse in the Teapot, an Alice in Wonderland reference), which has many, many good reviews. There was a queue, in the rain. It was worth it. Had a very nice omelette, and then the lemon meringue pie, which for some reason gets particular attention online. The reason being it's more like a scale model of Mont Blanc than your regular LMP...not cheap (€8) but the portion was Vernon (or me) size, waiting staff take the 'what size portion would the customer like' view.....and yes, it tasted as good as it looked…
