The annoying buzzers are always looking to start a nest at this time of year.

If you see a few of them in the same location they are thinking about setting up camp. Keep disturbing them and they will decide it is a bad place for a nest - no nasty chemicals required. If there's loads of them, leg it. :ohmy:

Last year they wanted to nest in the children's play house. This year its the compost heap and the garage. I have so far defended my territory with water and a stick.

one way to shuffle off an established wasps nest is to drive a fence post though it as my brother discovered accidentally a few years back. Not the best way though as stinging is likely :biggrin:
