I love Christmas. I love the presents, but don't care for receiving so much, but SWMBO certainly enjoys opening pressies and she won't miss and hit the wall should I fall short of expectations. This year should be particularly good, as one of the inlaws who finds himself single for the first time at Christmas is coming for a few days and bringing three of the nicest children, so helping keep them happy is going to be a challenge. Mum inlaw is also coming, but hey, nobody gets it all their own way even at Christmas.

Food, drink, and seeing the smiles on my Nephew and Niece's faces when opening their presents. Helps me to deal with the pain of my mum not being with us to enjoy it.

Everything. I love Christmas. The food, the preparing and cooking of the different food & meals over the festive period. The drink, top quality single malts, fine wines and the odd cheeky cocktail or three. Relaxing, no work for a few days, spending time with the family. It'll be nice to see my 16 yr old son not glued to his iPhone for at least an hour! The giving of presents, the wife doesn't ask for much all year so I like to spoil her at Christmas. It's also her birthday between Christmas & New year and I always make a bigger thing of her birthday and this year it's her 40th. Mulberry handbags have been mentioned!
I'm not a religious person but I don't forget about the true meaning of Christmas, although to me it's about celebrating the end of another year, family and enjoying the time together & appreciating what we have.
