Midnight Mass and Carolling with the Guides round the village. Being with my family and cooking Christmas dinner for my Mum and Dad. This year for the first time in 13 years, Mr S has Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day off. The fact that we can spend the three days together actually bought a tear to my eye. :snowball::hugs:

As someone whose background does not celebrate Christmas, I love it.

In the run up to the big day I love the atmosphere at work, in the shops and amongst my neighbours. I love the lights and trees in peoples' front rooms. I love the cosyness of it all, but most of all, I love the family time.

Whilst we don't exchange presents, we have a meal at our parents place because it's one of the few times of the year where we're all available.

Christmas Day is a great day for cycling - the roads are empty and the local hills a bit eerie in a special way,
