I did actually start reading the comments below this article, but then quickly stopped and tried to forget I'd read any of them, because it was depressing me.

Are the above 2 articles coincidence? I think not .

Yes, I know I've been guilty of bashing my home country before, but I think it needs to be internationally shamed into (literally) cleaning up its act.

Bit awry, but the good news is that he's living the dream...or my dream...or one of my dreams...that's me in about 15 years, with any luck. Just need to figure out how best to ride all that way with a guitar on my back...hmmm

This is ridiculous, probably the most anti-cyclist article I've seen in this paper in a long time, and they can't even get their facts straight. As for the comments, best not to read them.
If I get knocked off my bike during the next few days' commutes, it will most likely be due to the above newspaper article.

Please share this widely, because as far as I'm concerned, the more embarrassment Australia suffers because of rubbish like this, the better.

I read an article about a cyclist who used to live in different countries around the world and cycle then blog about the big rides/hills etc then move on, he'd usually spend 2-3 months in each country, He left New Zealand after 2 weeks after being intentionally driven off the road 2 -3 times. he said it was by far the worst place he'd ever cycled.
