I have just seen this guy on BBC breakfast. He has just cycled the whole of the Tour De France on a chopper bike for help for heroes! Thought he deserved a mention on here!

He and the bike were featured on BBC Breakfast this morning. I am sure he would have had to modify the gearing, but I was also interested to see that he put a road bike saddle on it and a long seatpost. He also had mountain bike-type SPD pedals.
I am not, in any way, trying to disparage his achievement. Just interested in what needed to be done to make a short-range bike suitable for long distance riding. Perhaps suitable is the wrong word there!
