My wife and I are coming from New Zealand in May for a three months holiday and planning on tiki touring Europe. We're looking to purchase a couple of good condition used bikes for the trip. We were thinking of spending about 6 or 700 quid in total depending on what equipment is with them. We're both pretty much average size, 5'9" and 5'4". Here's hoping.

Hi Don,
I have a 2005 Edinburgh Co-Operative Revolution Country Explorer for sale. It hasn't been used for about 18 months now, but is still in good nick. I'll post some pics for you in a couple of days. It will fit you as I'm only a couple of inches taller. I would be looking for £275 plus delivery. Here's a link to the latest model - much of the gear isn't what's on mine though. http://www.edinburghbicycle.com/pro...orer-11?bct=categories/bicycles/touring-bikes

hey, thanks for that message. What is the gear on your machine? What sort of mileage have you put on it? Do you have any pics?

The main components are:
54cm aluminium alloy 7005 double butted frame (I'm 5' 11" tall)
36 hole Rigida Zac 2000 rims on Shimano hubs
Conti City Ride tyres
SKS mudguards
Ergon comfort gel saddle
Brooks leather bar tape
Shimano Deore chainset (48/38/26)
Shimano 9 speed cassette 11-32
Shimano Deore front and rear mech
Upgraded to Aztec rotors (with very little wear since fitted)
As mentioned before, the paintwork isn't pristine. The bike has been lying unused in the shed now for nearly two years and the photos show the bike's condition straight from the shed. I would of course give it a good clean prior to sending.
