Can any of you arborial experts tell me what the fall it is? I thought it was some kind of Rowan but the leaves are quite broad. It's piqued my curiosity simply because I have to drag the dog past as he likes eating the falling berries provided they've been squashed to just the right consistency for him. Not too squashed and not too whole.

Possibly. The leaves look right but the berries are not red but orange.

Ah right. There's a whitbeam around the corner from me, I'll go and have a look at the berries on that as I'm wondering if they go a bit orange as they ripen. That could well be cobblers of course !
