wanted: heart rate monitor

So, my Polar HR monitor didn't fare too well when it came out of the washing machine. I've dried it out, but some of the digits don't show up properly. Wondered if anyone has one going. I would prefer a super basic Polar model. I don't need to know the time in Adelaide. No bells or whistles please!

You might be surprised at the recovery. Have you removed the battery and placed the unit in a jar/box of rice in a warm place?

I once dropped a radio in the bath and managed to recue it with the rice and airing cupboard trick.

Hope you weren't in it at the time Vernon!
I dismantled the unit and left it to dry near the radiator, it slowly cane back to life save for those pesky numeral bits.
