Wanted...Road bike.

Hi all,
I am in need of a road bike. Budget is around £400. Might pay more. Anybody in the Cheshire / Staffs or Wirral area selling anything that might fit the bill? I Should say, I haven't ridden in anger for over twenty years, so I won't understand the new technology acronyms and jargon. Treat me like the thicko I am. Hope you can help.

What size do you need? i have a ribble audax that needs a new BB and chain and cassette. 54cm £280
No tin your area though.

£400 should get you a lot of bike , size will depend on lots of things .
