What's happened to Google then?

I'm used to just typing "Cy" where "cycle chat" would pop up from the history, then clicking "i'm feeling lucky."

This new drop window thing is driving me up the wall. Is there any way to set it back to the old format?

Google Preferences page:
Find the 'Query Suggestions' section and select 'Do not provide query suggestions in the search box.'
Save Preferences.
