Northern Farm is a 40km2 piece of land owned by "Jo'burg water". It's situated 20 mins drive north west of Johannesburg.
There are Single track, Jeep track and Farm roads to ride on among a half a dozen dams (lakes in English!) which are connected by streams. There's a couple of easy water crossings, which are a treat in summer. You can do a good 65km criss-cross ride without riding the same path twice and there are enough hills for it to be a good workout if that's what you want. For people wanting a flat ride - that's almost doable too.
It's the end of winter here now so everything is brown, dry and dusty - we only get summer rain here - between October and March.
