Hi all tomorrow I will be wearing no 536 on a red mountain bike either towing a tagalong or escorting one! Please say hello! Enjoy the ride if your on it!
And I did see someone towing a tagalong and if it was at just past 9.30 going up the hill, it was most likely you, if not....Hi all tomorrow I will be wearing no 536 on a red mountain bike either towing a tagalong or escorting one! Please say hello! Enjoy the ride if your on it!
@Crackle tried to reply to your post but still working out tapatalk! LolA stubborn 8 yr old refused tagalong and said she was gonna ride it all alone which she did superbly!!
Very enjoyable ride with @chqshaitan ( thanks for the lift and nice to meet you). Weather was fantastic and the event well run.
Gald to say i finished the ride fairly comfortably, the "mountain" ( to most a gentle slope) around Irby was a good challenge on the second loop. Was easily the longest ride I have done and if there was badges I would have 1/4 century badge now! Onwards and upwards towards the Liverpool- Chester-Liverpool for the 1/2 century in a months time.
Arse is a little sore this morning but legs dont feelt to bad, probably the wrists are feeling it the most this morning because large parts of the course were off road but the tricross dealt with it fairly well, just one moment where the back tyre slipped out a little on some gravel.
I think we averaged around 12.5mph, we were probably a couple of mph faster on the road but the single path nature of some of the off road sections slowed us down.
Thanks for marshling Neil, it was very well organised and all marshals were very friendly. Saw Boardman by his bikes after completing the first loop.
All done for a good cause. An excellent day.

I enjoy being a marshal and interacting with the riders. It's great to see the kids enjoying themselves, the once a year riders on BSO's still smiling even after 25+ miles, the keen roadies chatting all the way round when most riders can hardly breathe, the vikings on tandem etc (need more fancy dress really) so just people-watching but with wheels.
