Team sprint and team pursuits should be interesting, both men and women. Sprints will be a pointer to form now, but by August everything could change. Outside of that omnium, and who knows, but I don't see much of a chance in reality, although being wrong about that would be great.

How the chuff do they measure that kind of difference ?

All electronical - Tissot do it all with timing kit which starts when the gate releases, and finishes at when the beam is broken on the last lap. All the splits are done, too, down to thousandths.
