Highlights are on the tele, unless you live in Northern Ireland where it looks like the BBC thinks no one is interested in cycling.

A great day for GB. GB now has won three championships!

The omnium elimination race was a right mess. Wrong people called out, wrong people left in. All done with timing chips, apparently. Any one watching the line could have seen at least 5 errors. One rider in the middle of the peloton called out. The commissaires should have stopped the race and restarted with a decent pair of judges on the line. The chief commissaire should be ashamed of the way it was left to run, utter chaos. Right now there must be at least six team managers going mad about the way it was run. This race is in the Olympics - imagine the row if it's run as it was today, when someone's chance of a win or medal could be destroyed by lousy officiating. UCI need to wake up and sort this out. The best way would be to get rid of this race, fit only for a track meeting where there is nothing on it, and replace it with another event, or just reduce the omnium by one race. It's not fit to be in any championship, ever.

I think La Pendleton was rather lucky with that.

Fine performance by Trotty in the Devil though, looks like she's on her way to becoming a specialist at that.

Well done Victoria Pendleton!

But the BBC switched to highlights of some golf tournament when they were nearing the end of the elimination race in women's omnium, with Laura Trott still in contention. Twats.

do you not have a red button - Trott was ruthlessly efficient - brilliant riding
Red button on freeview cut off near the end of the elimination race, probably with about 8 riders left...for the highlights of the first round of a golf tournament. Surely they could have put it off for the few minutes it would have taken to see the end of the race?

No good for those with poor broadband in the far flung reaches of the Empite I know (Sorry Noods) - but the online coverage carried on interrupted. Still unbelievably twattish of the beeb to cut off the broadcast version at that point.

I've complained to the BBC, but don't expect any admission of twattishness. Also made the point that the programme of cycling highlights scheduled for 19:00 was delayed for ~25 minutes due to the overrun of a totally one-sided and relatively meaningless footy game (apologies to any Hammers or Tykes fans), followed by the usual waffle from studio pundits. If the golf goes to extra holes, will they interrupt coverage to go to a scheduled programme? Will they hell!!
Yet they can't delay golf coverage for five minutes to show the final laps of a world championship race - it wasn't as if they were even showing live golf, just Hazel Irvine waffling about the flowers and weather to fill space!! Cycling treated with total contempt yet again - what price the Olympic broadcast being curtailed for Eastenders? On current form, I wouldn't bet against it.

I was out so recorded it. They cut the live broadcast with Trott last in a field of 6 and replaced it, not with golf, but with a card saying ''golf coming soon.'' The golf wasn't even ready! Whoever decided to cut the live transmission to replace it with nothing should make a public apology and resign.

I had to watch the highlights in a later recording to see how she got out of that one. Brilliantly raced.

... ''golf coming soon.'' The golf wasn't even ready!

Indeed, I could not believe it when I ended up watching a screen telling me golf highlights were due to come on...it was probably still saying "due to come one" when the race was over with!! A seriously stupid decision. I bet whoever made it was sitting there in his Pringle jumper and tartan slacks! Twatish twat...it was only highlights of the first round of the golf, most of which will have been sweeping views of flowers and fairways.

That said, I have enjoyed the cycling being available to view.

Another World Title for Vicky, but it was close and Meares is a very good rider. However for Vicky to retire as World Champion is good and with luck she could also add the Olympic title to that as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What the hell was the relegation of Simona Krupeckaite about? I'm glad Pendleton won, but I'm not sure why. Nor were the commentators.
