At least a dozen Red Kite, whirling round Stilton, Someone nearby must be feeding them, encouraging them because while I've seen many more in a day, never so many in one place and so regularly.
Also, a bird that made me literally say out loud...what the bladdy hell is that...as I drove past. I only got a couple seconds look as I was driving but took a u turn on a quiet road and went back....pale but striking blue back, and up the back of his neck, rusty red chest, size of a big sparrow. Logically a Bullfinch but they tend to be small but bulky birds and the blue on this was quite striking. A Bullfinch in full flush so's to speak, absolutely stunning. If I'd been a female Bullfinch...I'd have fancied him :laugh:
