MacB Road Bike
This is the first custom ti frame I had done by Justin Burls and the geometry is midway between a Specialised Tricross and Roubaix, both of which I'd test ridden. In general terms that would be between a Cross bike and relaxed Audax/Sportive. But with disc brakes, a long headtube and clearances for up to a 700x42 tyre with mudguards. Full spec, for those that love detail, is:- Frame - Burls custom Ti, disc brake only with rack and guard mounts Forks - Salsa La Cruz steel disc only Headset - Hope in red Stem - Hope in red Spacers - Hope in black Bars - Salsa Cowbell in 46cm width Bar Tape - BBB synthetic cork Bar Plugs - Hope in red Controls - Shimano 105 Black 5703 10 speed triple STIs Seatpost Clamp - Hope red bolt up Seatpost - Thomson Elite setback Saddle - Specialised Alias 155 width Cables - Goodridge compressionless brake cable outers and Shimano SIS gear outers Mudguards - cheapo hybrid clip on ones with metal brackets that stay on bike Wheels - Hope Pro II 36h hubs with Mavic TN719 black disc only rims QR - Shimano Deore black Tyres - Standard Marathons in Winter and Marathon Supreme otherwise, both in 700x32, plus red anodised presta valve caps Cassette - Shimano 105 10 speed 11-25 Chain - KMC 10 speed with powerlink RD - Shimano 105 black medium cage FD - Shimano 105 black triple Chainset - Shimano FC M431 square taper trekking 48/36/26 black 175mm BB - Shimano UN54 113mm Bottle Cages - Be One in black with red Storage Bottle - Be One in black with red Brakes - Avid BB7 road with 160mm rotors Pump - Topeak Roadmorph Top Tube Bag - Topeak Tribag with waterproof cover Saddlepack - Topeak strap on Pedals - Superstar Nano Down Tube Barrel Adjusters - can't remember make but they are anodised red Cable ties - red plastic!!!!!!!!!!
