Hi there
As it says in the title, I have become a 1st time bike owner at the grand age of 55. I was never allowed a bike as a kid as I was told they are for boys!! Fortunately where I grew up lots of friends had bikes which were shared and borrowed so i did learn how to ride one.
My reason for getting one now is that I am tired of missing stuff as I drive past places so am hoping I will take in more of my local environment by cycling and also give myself some exercise at the same time, with the view of joining a cycling club if there is one local (do clubs accept hybrid cycle owners)?
I hope to glean lots of information from this forum which was recommended by an mate and not ask too many silly questions.
