There's no right turn onto Broad St, so the acceptable procedure is to hop off, press the crossing button, cross the road and you're away. No.1 decides instead to ride the pavement to the right until she gets to the next crossing. She doesn't bother pressing the button and creeps between the queueing traffic. So our first view on getting to the crossing as the bus approaching us moved away to reveal the scene is her, on the crossing on her bike, on the wrong side of the road with another bus bearing down on her. I had to take primary to stop the traffic and wave her over.

Not 20 seconds later, out of nowhere, some pimped-up slick MTBer undertakes me, swings right across my path (I should have straightened an arm and tw**ed him) and stops in the middle of the road. All done with a kind of "yes, but I'm better than you" arrogance.
