Not a MTB'er , however I have been following the 2012 course set up with interest as it is very close to home. Recent write ups would suggest it's going to be a tough course regardless of location - My link.
Sounds great, have raced in the national XC at youth levels, would love to give this a go after the games! Sounds like they will open it for the public, hope it's not too busy.
