Someone consistently jumping lights will disappear from view if they're traveling at any sort of respectable speed

granted I get lights every few hundred yards

Same here but im in no hurry to get to work and generally leave with plenty of time.If im going to be late tough,but it's rare.Last time I was late was 1997 and was not bike related.
