Hi there, I just joined. I'm planning to do my first 100-mile road event in September and am confident I'm on track, I'm doing 150-250 miles a week, I usually do 25-40 miles per day, with one 50-60 mile ride a week. I have plenty of energy in my legs but I'm finding that about the 50-60 mile mark, the back of my neck is getting stiff, and with 40 miles to go I'd rather not have that pain to think about. I think my bars are maybe 1-2 inches too low. I'd also like to lift my saddle by maybe .5 inches.

So I'm thinking of buying this - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=39262

The bike is the blue Ribble winter trainer, it's been excellent so far but I don't want to spend a fortune on it, as I have plans to buy something really nice at some point. Is the above handlebar stem a good buy?
