Another numpty Android question

First smartphone (!) HTC Wildfire S which I got last week came with a 2GB Micro SD which I have already filled with (mostly) offline mapping. I have a 8GB card going spare - bought for the Muvi clone which I never use.
Do I just whack the new card in the phone? or do I copy the contents of the 2GB card across on to the new card ?

It all depends whether you've stored any apps on the card. If you have the phone might get a bit itsy about it but it's just a case of re-installing with the new card in the phone.

To be honest I'm not that sure about whether copying the contents from one card to the other will work particularly if you use a Windows PC to do it but I doubt it can do any harm.

You can copy the small card to your PC and then straight onto the new card from there if you want to keep the stuff.

Works fine for me.
