I commute most days on a 1998 Honda VFR800 and have a couple other bikes for sunny weekends.

    Any other bikers on here?

(If I just committed heresy I'm already getting my coat...)

Me, At the moment I have a CB 500. I have been riding motorbikes for 34 years since I got my first moped in 1974, that was a SS50. I then had a CB 175, then a CB 250G5, notice a pattern developing, then a CB 500 4,then a CB750. I really like the new Triumph Bonneville 850, maybe , maybe.

I always liked 4 stroke engines, and most other japanese bikes in the 70's were 2 stroke. The electrics on them are good as well, so i stuck with them. My 500 was actually made in Italy.

I used to have a suzuki gs500 but sold it as I found myself constantly riding too fast.

Had a bit of a cull so I'm now down to two - 1953 BSA Bantam and a 2003 Honda Fireblade. Recently flogged my BMW F650 commuter hack.

Seriously thinking of going naked, quite fancy another Ducati Monster (I've
had a couple of M900's but only briefly - wrong bike for me at the time, so I flogged them), or maybe a BMW F800. Dunno.

Beancounter, are you a mate of young Lee Tiller AKA Superlight 3 ?

Well, if you see him, tell him I've still got his Ducati Performance ventilated clutch cover sitting on my desk taking up space.

Has he still got that Ducati/Bianchi Campag road bike?

Funny - I nearly asked you that!

I assume he has. I know he tried to flog it a couple of times, about £4k iirc. Never turned a wheel afaik.

Do I know you from some other forum?

You might have bumped into me on the Monster UK site before I got escorted from their premises. *

    * I never actually got banned, just made to feel very unwelcome. Used to post on Ducati sporting Club too, but got rather tired of stereotypical poserific Ducatisti. Just walked away.
