Anyone see the fire ball in the sky tonight?(or seen one at all)

I missed this one, but saw one a few weeks ago and even heard a sort of a sizzle/fizzle too.

Yeah I saw it...

Was going up the M5 between J5 and J3 just before 10ish - at first thought it was a plane with sparks coming out of the engine as it seemed to be headed towards the airport...

i caught it - bright white at first had an orange tail as it went overhead - seemed to go on for about 2/3 of the sky, amazing!

Never seen one - just living in hope

But I have seen a "green flash"; just before sunrise on Lake Nasser in Egypt, like a green ray beaming from the horizon up into the sky. Really green, really odd.

how strange: a colleague and I saw exactly the same thing, at about 9.45. Like you, we thought it to be a plane on fire.

They are a rare thing to see. Shooting stars which are more easily seen are just a grain of dust in comparison, fireballs are a little bigger so show well, and sometimes can be heard too. Iv only seen one even though I look up regularly.

I'm pretty sure I've seen one, not recently though. Not seen the green flash yet.
