Smacks to me of a journalist manufacturing a story. Not nearly enough detail to create an informed opinion. Taking the story at face value however changing rules/laws to make cyclists safer sounds promising, assuming of course that they get it right. I've no problem with proscecuting antisocial cyclists either with the proviso that motorists get the same treatment.

Saw the offending peice on News 24 this morning. Same old, same old. Trying to set motorist against cyclists by inviting female, middle class rep. from the RAC and CTC rep. dressed in CTC blue collar garb to explain their position.
Those that don't cycle and drive want us off the roads entirely! All this debate is just a smokescreen for the fact.
