Yesterday I decided to have a walk into town which is not far from where I work, as the weather was nice.
I stood at the pedestian crossing and waited for the traffic to stop, when I noticed a rather large man standing next to me with very dark glasses and a beige coloured Labrador.
I took hold of the mans arm and said.."excuse me, would you like me to help you across the road?"
He turned towards me, with a huge grin on his face, and he then erupted with laughter.
"Iam not blind " he said, laughing his head off " these are just my sunglasses, and this is my mums dog Iam just walking for her" .The people behind us were laughing too..... Fran you Twonk!!

I bet you got some stick for that - unlike the bloke with dark glasses.
yeap, got back to work and told the boss, he couldnt believe it. It could only happen to me. I did profusely apologise to the man for presuming he was sight impaired, but he did see the funny side of it. He could have took it the wrong way and told me to F*off..but he had a sense of humour.

This is an apparently true story about Ray Charles that I heard one of the DJs on the local radio station talking about a while back.

He made many internal flights around America in his career and as a result got to be friendly with the staff on some of the planes he travelled on regularly. Once, while the plane was bing refuelled, the pilot asked him if there was anything he could do for him and Ray asked if he could walk his guide dog. Other passengers walking across the runway saw the pilot walking around the plane with a guide dog and refused to board the plane.

A bloke walks into a butcher's shop with a dachshund on a lead.

"Hey," says the butcher, "You can't bring that dog in here!"

"Yes I can," replies the bloke. "I'm blind and this is my guide dog!"

"That's not a guide dog!" retorts the butcher. "Guide dogs are usally labradors or retrievers or alsatians!"

"Why, what's this then?" asks the bloke, puzzled.

"It's a dachshund!"

"Whaat?" mutters the bloke. "Those lying bastards down at the Blind Centre....."

Not as embarrassing as offering your seat to a pregnant lady only to discover she isn't. Another easy gaff to make.

Or ask her: "When's the baby due?"

Been there, done that with a girl I hadn't seen for a few months and who was working as a chef and had scoffed too many pies.... huge embarrassment.
