Bored at work

I've been at work since 3.30pm. So far I've loaded 26 000 litres of water onto a tanker and changed trailers - about fifteen minutes' actual work. The rest of the time I've been sitting in the cab reading and browsing CC on the laptop.

... actually, that's not a bad job, now I think about it. I'm being paid £10 an hour for this.

Ever since I was little, when I used to watch lorries going past the end of our garden from my pushchair, I've wanted to drive them. As I grew up, I kept waiting for the feeling to go away so I could get on with my "proper" job*, but it never did. So when I was 28 I decided to get my HGV licence and I've never looked back.

*Barrister or Prime Minister, according to my mum.

No, I never did. As usual, my grasshoper mind conspired against me remembering anything for more than ten minutes at a time.

We're playing in Evesham soon, at The Railway Inn (I think) on December 11th.
