Hi everyone,

When I close my brakes only one side seems to reopen! The other stays against the wheel. Does that make sense? What needs tightening? They aren't the best brakes in the world but still!

Please help

Hi there Cyclevan. The brakes need centreing. You will need put a ring spanner or allen key onto the bolt at the back of the fork or bridge if it is the rear. Then move the spanner/allen key the way the caliper needs to go, whilst at the same time with your other hand move the caliper at the same time as the spanner. It could be that the bolt is too tight, but you will find that out as you progress. If you have any trouble look here.-http://sheldonbrown.com/rim-brakes.html#centering-

Perfect, I'll try that. This cycling malarky is proving difficult. Couldn't just leave the bike the way it came! Oh well

 You have the bug. It only gets worse
