Broken Spoke

Is anyone considering doing this particular sportive this year? It is fairly local to me and easy to get to via public transport because the starting point is only in Chester. I am thinking of doing the long route which goes through Berwyn mountains above Llangollen and is a total of 85 miles, hopefully I will have built up my stamina enough to tackle it and also that the bike is fit to ride.

I hope this is achievable for me, my longest ride so far was the Cheshire Cat at 45 miles over fairly flat countryside.

I did the Broken Spoke 55 miler last year, all I can say is good luck climbing back out of Ruthin after the feed stop, what a beast of a hill that was, unfortunatly I'm not able to make it this year as Im serving in Afghanistan, booked onto the Pain ont the Plain 100 mile sportive though which should be fun as all my training is on a spinning bike out here.
