Cables affected by clip-on aero bars

I recently installed clip-on aero bars on my specialized roubaix road bike. When installing them I noticed the cables on the handlebars were slightly bent due to the new attachment. I was wondering if this was an issue and if so, should the bar tape be adjusted to allow the cables to have more room to bend?

It won't effect the operation of the brakes, there is something slightly left field about aero bars and externally routes cables though.
