I have managed to find an Italian connection; my grandfather's cousin married an Italian woman. Can I change my name to Marmioni?

Wonder if they ever revoked his citizenship? He admitted to having no blood relatives who were Irish.
Cascarino was born in England but represented the Republic of Ireland, qualifying through his adopted Irish grandfather, Michael O'Malley, from Westport, County Mayo.
