Cassette removal tool, shimano vs campag

Hi,

I am needing to remove a campagnolo fitment cassette to put on a different wheel.

I dont have the tool, i was going to buy a generic tool kit such as this lifeline on wiggle or this one in halfords.

Will the supplied cassette tools work with campagnolo or do i need a special tool?

I would guess that they'd be Shimano compatible, but hopefully someone will post more detailed information soon.

I think they are invariably for Shimano. You can pick a Campag one up for not very much.

A Shimano one will remove a Campag lock ring, but not the other way round (Campag splines are too big).

I use an old Chorus BB tool from the 90's which works both Shimano and Campy - that's progress eh?

Mine won't - the Shimano one is just slightly bigger diameter than the Campag one, and will not fit the Campag lockring. Be best to buy a Campag specific one cyclus tool
