I've ordered a very cheap handlebar mount for my Garmin 205W SatNav. I don't suppose the quality will be great, and I would like to attach a tether or lanyard just in case the thing works loose. Has anyone done the same and what did they use? I was thinking about using a sticky cable tie mount on the rear of the unit to which I'd attach a fishing wire leader. However, I'm not sure the adhesive backing would be reliable enough.
