Apologies if this has been done before, but, for reasons that escape me, I'd like to see what the favourite Cycle Chat cheeses are. Top 5 - the first getting five points, the second getting four and so on....

Gorgonzola
Manchego
Yarg
Camembert
Parmesan

1. Boursault (almost caused an airline hand-luggage checker to pass out in Stockholm when she opened my bag and took a breath in at the same time)
2. Blue Stilton
3. Gorgonzola
4. Cambozola
5. Danish Blue

Good thread! I love cheese ;)

1). Stilton

2). Cheddar (mature)

3). Camembert

4). Västerbotten

5). Cantadou horseradish soft cheese

There are very few cheeses I don't like, but unfortunately have forgotten the names of many, especially Italian and Swiss cheeses.

Hopefully I'll see some other names that'll need testing out! :?:

LOVE this thread....love cheese!

1) Goats (soft, french and slightly off)
2) Wensleydale with apricot or any fruit
3) Danish blue
4) Edam
5) Emmental

But I'm not choosy really when it comes to cheese.

Queso de tetilla (basically because it translates as "tit-shaped cheese", and the description is quite apt.... I also lived in that part of Spain for 2 years...)
Manchego
Mozzarella (a good one)
Pecorino (local ones)
Brie

almost any cheese, though goat's only in small quantities, and I absolutely loathe blue cheeses....

Tilsitter
Parmesan
Manchego
Unpasteurised Stilton
Antoinette Truman's faux Cheddar that she forgot at the back of the dairy in Leitrim and that I found 18 months later....

A really good Cheddar
Stilton (I prefer a mild creamy style)
Manchego
Brie (again, mild and creamy)
Yarg

Or failing the above, anything that can legitimately be described as cheese.
Just the mention of cheese has sent me to the fridge for an evening snack!
