cleaning knobbly tyres

So, I want my tyres to shine - you know, like they do after riding in fresh snow! (For keeping the bike in the house)

It seems almost impossible to get all the dirt off knobbly tyres.

Anyone got a special trick they would like to share?

Not happening on a mtb. Just rinse the mud off.

Hose pipe immediatley after a ride and allow to drip dry

Try a stiff brush along with the hosepipe if it is packed in firm.

I use an old washing up bowl full of soapy water and a stiff washing up brush.
Take the wheels off and rest them on the edge of the bowl, scrubbing between the knobblies as you go all round the wheel. Good rinse afterwards and a bit of drip-drying. It simply takes patience, but if you want them on a carpet, you need them to be mudless!

Jet wash, gets rid of ALL the crap off my MTB. Including the large amount of Horse shite I usually encounter on my regular ride
