Well it was very icy this morning but a few of us had arranged a ride straight after work, so off we went for about 40 miles.
Anyway all went well and near the end of the ride I peeled off to head home. I was heading up pssed the Nissan Plant in Washington. It is quite a wide road and i was aware of a car transporter lorry coming up behind me, there was oncoming traffic and i could hear him gearing down behind me. When the road ahead was clear he pulled out to overtake (im thinking good driver well done). Clearing he was not aware of my speed and the length of his vehicle, and started to pull back in way to soon. God ! it was so close, in fact it was so close i thought it was the end.
As you can imagine my language was quite severe. I was so shaken I didnt manage to get his number but I will certainly be in touch with Nissan. One of those moments where I wish i'd had my helmet cam on.
But i live to ride another day.
