CLING FILM!!
My Specialized shoes are fantastically comfortable but having mesh panels has always meant that in cold weather my feet get numb with the cold. I use some Gore windstopper overshoes but on rides like this weekend (2 degrees) my feet still suffer badly from the cold.
On Saturday however I wrapped my shoes in cling film before putting the overshoes on and hey presto - it worked a treat! Glad I didn't have to take them off in front of anyone but it certainly kept the cold off.
