Have recently been looking into renewing my insurance that ran out some time ago, but getting quote c.£60 for a £400 bike!

Have found a company that are quoting £43 for the same bike, with what sounds like much better cover. They are called the Environmental Transport Association and their benefits include:
  • Cover for theft, accidental damage and vandalism (new-for-old) RACE COVER INCLUDED
  • Third party cover up to £1m
  • Personal accident cover up to £20,000
  • FREE Breakdown cover for your bicycle, worth £35
  • Up to 90 days European cover
  • Up to 60 days worldwide cover
  • ‘Get You Home Cover’ - pays for a taxi home should your bike be stolen or damaged
  • No claims discount up to 40% (not applicable to folding bikes)
Link to their site - http://www.eta.co.uk/insurance/cycle/summary

Seems like a lot of cover for a lot less money than any of the ones recommended by every bike shop I've tried, but I am a cycnical guy and always lookign for the catch!

Anyone have any thoughts or any experience of this company?

Hi There

I have my insurance with ETA, in saying that I haven’t had an incident where I had to use it yet  . One of my friends has had ETA insurance for more than a year now and seems happy with it.
