Show us your cycling tattoos. Not necessarily cycling themed but also done with cycling in mind.

I don't have a cycling tattoo (but wouldn't rule one out) however I have got my daughter's name and date of birth tattooed on my right calf, purely because I think it looks great whilst on a bike and was different to normal positioning on an arm or whatever.

I got the idea whilst following someone on the Tour Ride sportive a few weeks back, who had a bumble bee on his calf and I thought it looked good whilst riding.

Of my three tattoos, there's one I don't regret as it sums up where I was in my early 20s - but I wouldn't choose now.

On the other hand, there's one I would have made a lot more elaborate.

Now now no reason to get a hump on. It was a personal opinion. May be I could have put it better. Apologies to those offended and note that is not something I normally do.

You do appear to be agreeing with my main point that people regret them when they get older.

Wrong on every count there bar two. It was a personal opinion and you could express it better, as indeed is the case for all your posts.
"Wrong on every count except two" Isn't that an oxymoron.
That's your opinion petal. And you forgot that I don't normally apologies. Just quick question why do you follow me round the forum?

It was based on this part of your post.
Oh. Seems I wasn't clear...

I have 3 tattoos. One I'm as thrilled with as the day I had it done. One, I wish I'd been braver and gone for something much more elaborate (it was my first). The other, I don't regret as it sums up where I was in my early 20s - but I wouldn't choose it now.

To further clarify: I don't cringe when I look at it and there are no regrets.

Thanks for (most of) the replies.

I really like the idea of the oily chaining mark tattoo. I'm really considering that actually. I also love the one I've seen on this forum which is the formula for power pushing a bike along but I would have to make it my own somehow. Something I'm going to have to think about !
The Armstrong ones I can understand actually as my brother has been through testicular cancer and I convinced myself I would lose him. Livestrong and it's message is very uplifting even if the person himself was a cheat. I myself would have happily had a Marco Pantani themed tattoo years ago as I adored him and his style but he turned out to be a cheat also.

Definitely had some things to think about from the posts in the other threads so thanks for those.

Thanks,
Malty
