We're planning a trip from Brno in the czech republic to Albania via Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest, Belgrade and then Macedonia. We'll be following the Danube for as much of it as we can as we hear there's a pretty good bike path. It's all very exciting and we can't wait as everything we've seen and heard about the route looks fantastic. Just wondering if anyone has done anything similar and can offer us any advice. Anything is helpful but especially regarding any must-sees, technical advice, places to stay etc.
We'd also appreciate any advice about insurance. We know we should get some but a lot of it seems fairly inadequate or has so many stipulations you might as well not bother. Are there any specialist out there or any particularly relevant deals. Anything you've got would be a great help.
