Decided to get mom a bike - had to be a Raleigh

Saw this nice looking Raleigh Pioneer Caprice on ebay, snagged it for £56

Step through steel frame, 3 speed Sturmey twist grip gear, chainguard, basket mount, pannier with bungee., kick stand.

Very nice condition, dry stored for a while, should be just the job after a clean, lube, adjust.

Cleaned, lubed and adjusted. New cabing and a bell added. Ready to ride.

That's a hell of a good find! I bet she's pleased with that. It's good fun tidying up an old bike. Did you clean the tyre sidewalls?

I would be tempted to try flattening that saddle by a few degrees though - it looks as if it might throw too much weight onto the bars.

The saddle was set up for me to test ride . I'm 6ft 1. Mom's 5ft 4 so it will be lower. Rides nice, bit like a cruiser, reminds me of my Raleigh Chopper with the 3 speed hub.
