Took my fixie in the LBS last week as I managed to break a couple of spokes on my way to work so I dropped it off during my break to collect after work.
So far so good.
Noticed today an annoying pinging type noise coming from somewhere around the back wheel. I checked my panier rack, spokes etc and eventually I noticed that the freewheel cog was rattling against the drop outs. I took the wheel off to try and repair it but it seems that the thread has gone, so I just removed the whole cog as I normally ride it fixed anyway.
Is it likely that the LBS inadvertently did something to cause it to happen. I have only done about 500 miles riding it singlespeed.??
