Downtube Cable Adjusters - am i being thick?

Hi all, just bought some Downtube Cable Adjusters for a frame i'm building up

the package arrived and everything looked good - until i realised that the 2 adjusters are identical. Wouldn't one need to be "opposite" for the other side of the frame?

i was going to send an email to chain reaction cycles but thought i'd check with you lot that i haven't lost my marbles!

can you undo one of the "screws" and put it back in the from the other side of the moulded part ?

hi, no it's not possible to move the barrell parts over to the other side - think i'll drop cnc an email

one side of the down tube, will have the barrel 'on top' of the frame and the other will be 'on the bottom' of the frame, if you know what i mean. from the pictures in the link, both are the same. and i the 1st picture it kinda shows you how they are meant to be installed, i.e., the cables will take a slightly different route down the down tube. hope that helps.

Hmm, mine have always been mirror images of each other.

yeah i thought they should be a mirror image. Check out the image at the bottom of this thread, these were what i thought i'd get

i agree, but the link clearly shows what you were going to get, they will work, just not how you expected.

My road bikes have Campagnolo groupsets and both have proper mirror-image pairs of cable adjusters!

Same here, I'd send them back and ask for a replacement.

good old crc are going to send me a replacement pair. All sorted....
