We're only perhaps 15 miles away but it sounds like a different country. 6 inches or so around here.
We've just walked a mile from a friend's house. No more snow, but what is on the ground is now compacted and the bare tarmac areas are frozen. It's worse now than it was this morning.
Been snowing past 9 hours. Winter wonderland out and about.
Last nights Taxi was 40 minutes late arriving.
PE28 land has now caught up with other parts of the country with a heady 6cm of lying snow so worthy of a passing mention in the Dswasbrd1ascrrpt thread me thinks.
In the manner of the recent reports and their accuracy, I'd say that's at least 18 inches.
Forecast to warm up tomorrow. Maybe we need a flood alert thread now?
Just got back from Finland to find the country in the grip of several patches of dirty slush. How did you survive?
Thank god you're back, it's been awful here.
We have a near white out at the moment. I was about to go into the garden to refill the bird feeders, but with no search teams available should I get lost in there, I'll wait.
Winter drags on, a bit more white stuff overnight in PE28 land but its the wind chill effect this morning, wow!
There is somebody skiing down the road here. Mind you, this is my local park...
ETA: Although sledging down the Bole Hills is clearly an Alpine event, the person I saw was on Nordic skis...
