A guy I used to work with was driving home after drinking 20 (twenty) pints! He'd been to a wedding reception and calculated he'd had 10 at the reception itself and another 10 at the evening do and still decided to drive home late Saturday night/Sunday morning. The thing is, he noticed he was being followed by a police car so what did he do? We worked together in an operating theatre so this guy, Peter, drove to the hospital, turned in to the Consultant's car park immediately in front of theatres, got out of his car and saw the policeman get out of his car, so he walked confidently up to the theatre doors and walked through nodding to our night-time colleagues, sat down and admitted what had happened and asked one of the staff if he'd go out and see if the police car was still there. It wasn't so he'd got away with it. He'd basically conned the copper that he was a consultant surgeon. Twenty pints and he'd have likely ended up in jail but he got away with it by using his knowledge of the hospital and its theatre complex.
