I think you can do it using the < img src=IMAGE URL GOES HERE > (remove the spaces from between the < and >)only the images you use this way won't show up in the search if you don't pay for a main image.

upload a photo to Photobucket or similar, then just copy the url and paste it into your description in the listing.
Probably against the rules, but ive done it a few times, and never been pulled up on it.

If you store photos elsewhere (eg, some web hosting, or an image storage website) you can show as many as you want on your ebay page. You could either link to these like a clickable link

Code:
<a href="location to link">link text</a>
or embed the image

Code:
<img src="location to image" alt="short description of image" />

I would use the first option for big images, but the second one for some smaller, compressed images.

Sorry, didnt come back to this one...i paste a url for each photo into the description. On one of my listings i has about 6 links in showing different angles of the same item..
Its just occured to me, you can create an album / file within Photobucket. It's maybe possible if you put all the relevent photos within that file, then paste the url of the file...you could view all the photos from one link.

Thumbnails are good.

A lot of people wont want to load up an imagehosts "gallery" page to browse through images.
