Anyone know if a alkaline or lithium pp3 battery would have enough current to briefly
operate a cycle mounted ... car horn?

Just an idea.

Don't like the EU specification bells fitted to modern bikes, and i think most horns/sirens/etc
you can buy for a bike probably won't be as attention grabbing as a bog-standard car-horn!

Failing that this might be useful (joke):

Thanks for that slowmotion. :wahhey:

Spot on ... i like the advice about using a model helicopter battery (i don't want to add too much weight).

Will post a video once its sorted.

A PP9 would be a better bet than a PP3 if you want an easy off the shelf battery. They can supply a fair amount of juice. Even better, use two of them.

I must be doing some thing wrong, I have been cycling and racing on and off for over 40 years and have never needed anything more than my voice.

+1 I found a loud "Oi" works very well - even caused a woman to jump off her driving seat once.

Anyway I am not putting more crap on my bike. Lights and panniers are enough !

Traffic Droid is a bit of a 'case'. Trigger happy ?
